Insurance Offer for write off

I have been told that my car is uneconomical to repair. It is an 04 on 54 plate CLK 270cdi ,Avantgarde, manual transmission. I have got a dealer value from the glasses guide website of between £7800 and £9240, this is for a car with 80,000 miles on the clock mine has 100,000 on it so was wondering how this would affect the value. The Parkers guide shows it to be worth £7410 with 80,000 miles also. I was wondering if you had any advise for dealing with the insurance company when they make an offer.
Thanks
Ade

Thanks for complete description. Not good news, though. Glass's books a 70k mile 2004/54 at £8,150 retail; £6,100 trade. With 100k the figures drop to £6,950 retail; £4,850 trade. Our own Pricefinder at www.honestjohn.co.uk/used-prices/ (based on nationally advertised prices and updated live) shows Most adverts are between £6,210 and £7,990 We see cars like this for sale less than once a month. At a dealer, aim to pay between £6,350 and £8,150 and expect to pay £7,650. From a private seller, aim to pay between £5,650 and £7,400 and expect to pay £6,900. If selling in part exchange, expect to receive £6,020.
