Buying a Vauxhall Corsa - which diesel engine is best?

My son wishes to change his 2004 Vauxhall Corsa 1.3 CDTi for a newer version. He has seen a Corsa with a 1.3 cdti engine with 95PS which he favours as it is more powerful than his 75PS engine in his current car.

I’ve noticed there are far more 1.3 CDTi engine Corsas with 75 PS than the 95PS versions. Is the 95PS engine a sensible buy?

It's the same FIAT Multijet engine with a higher power output. But now it has a diesel particulate filter and that has been a lot of trouble.
