The least punitive of the conventional engine cars in our top 10, but there is little conventional about the Veloster’s looks. Available in a more frugal BlueDrive petrol variant (there is no diesel Veloster), the ‘3+1’-door model (there are two doors on the near-side of the car, but one on the off-side) offers a decent turn of speed combined with eye-catching looks.
