Dacia Stepaway - Bought a faulty car with a warranty - Eddie123

Hi. My son in law paid £5k - took out a loan for this used car a few weeks ago. Since then, it's constantly found with wet seats in the car rear. He has travelled a few miles to the warranty specialist to get repaired but they can't find the problem. The dealer now won't help either. He feels the dealer has known about this as the car stood outside before purchase. Can anyone help or advise?

As annoying as it is, with a car at that price, I think I'd try and find out where the water is coming first in before trying to use legal means, as it may be a very simple fix. Is it just (or mainly) on one side?. If so, possibly door seal, possibly rear window not "seating" properly. Also possible the car has had a new door and it wasn't lined up properly when fitted and so not sealing properly.

Presumably it's rainwater and not screen wash.

Can you work out how water is getting in?

Rear doors?

Tail hatch and running forwards?
