Volkswagen introduces stylish Polo R Line

Volkswagen has introduced a new R Line model to the Polo range. Based on the Match specification it features numerous sporty details to make it stand out. It’s priced from £15,195, with first deliveries expected in July.  

Externally the R Line features deeper front and rear bumpers, a gloss black grille, deeper sills and 16 inch alloy wheels. The back windows are tinted, and there are front foglights with cornering function. Sports seats and R Line logos feature in the cabin, as do aluminium pedals.

One engine is offered, a 105PS 1.2-litre TSI petrol, which provides reasonable performance. 0-60mph takes 9.7 seconds and top speed is 118mph. The official fuel economy figure is 53.3mpg and CO2 emissions are 124g/km.

Standard equipment includes iPod connectivity for the six-speaker stereo, air conditioning, electric windows and mirrors, tyre pressure monitor and remote central locking. The three-door model starts at £15,195 and the five-door is priced from £15,815. Order books are open now and the first deliveries are expected in July.
