Suzuki launches free extended warranty scheme

Suzuki GB has launched a new free of charge Service Activated Warranty Scheme that is unique in the industry.

The warranty is offered once the car or motorcycle reaches the end of its manufacturer warranty period and is booked in for its next scheduled service within the Suzuki Dealer network.

The warranty stays in place until the next qualifying service and is then simply renewed again, up to a maximum vehicle age of seven years or 100,000 miles for cars, or 70,000 miles for motorcycles - whichever comes first.

Major components are covered and should a customer decide to sell their car or motorcycle between services and within the seven-year qualifying period, the warranty can be transferred to the next owner free of charge.

Additionally, Service Activated Warranty can also be applied to a Suzuki that has been purchased privately or has a gap in its dealer service history, providing it goes through a Suzuki Vehicle Health Check in the first instance.

Denis Houston, Director Aftersales, Suzuki GB PLC, commented on the launch, saying that customer experience and retention are paramount to Suzuki.

"The launch of Service Activated Warranty will certainly enhance this for the future, ensuring our customers get the best levels of service, fitment of genuine parts and avail of the expertise within our dealer network rather than going to a non-franchised repairer once their manufacturer warranty expires," he said.

The new warranty scheme is part of Suzuki’s commitment to offering a high-quality service to its customers, and the company’s well-renowned product reliability record has been further enhanced by this new initiative.

The Service Activated Warranty Scheme is available to customers now, and anyone who owns a Suzuki car or motorcycle that is nearing the end of its manufacturer warranty period is encouraged to contact their local Suzuki Dealer to find out more about the scheme and how it can benefit them.
