Christmas is a time for giving – but there’s only so much you can spend on giving before bailiffs come and start taking. Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight - £9,675
If you want your Americana in the UK and you want it to last more than two weeks, why not get on two wheels? A Harley Davison Sportster Forty-Eight is relatively affordable compared to bigger, harder-to-handle Harley models, plus it’s fairly easy to ride for less experienced motorcyclists.
It still has all the Harley-Davidson character though, with an air-cooled V-twin providing a thumping heartbeat and aggressive retro styling. Harley-Davidson has just introduced a cheaper bike too – the Street 750. It costs £5,795, but it isn’t quite as characterful as the Forty-Eight.
