Estate cars continue to be popular, so there were a few new announcements at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show – whether concepts, fire-breathing performance machines or more mundane, run of the mill models destined to move furniture, dogs and gardening equipment. We count down through our ten favourites.

Skoda Octavia Scout
With an increased ride height and more rugged bodywork, the Ocatvia Scout uses the same Haldex all-wheel drive system as the recently revised Yeti. It’s due in showrooms from Summer 2014, with a choice of diesel and petrol engines and it should prove a good choice for rural buyers who want some traction in poor weather, but prefer traditional styling.
