Estate cars continue to be popular, so there were a few new announcements at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show – whether concepts, fire-breathing performance machines or more mundane, run of the mill models destined to move furniture, dogs and gardening equipment. We count down through our ten favourites.

Ford Focus Estate
Both hatchback and estate versions of the facelifted Focus were shown at Geneva – and both get the same classy new look. The front is neater and more elegant, while the cabin is less cluttered and more neatly laid out, making for a more upmarket feel. Cabin space remains the same, but that’s fine - the Focus estate isn’t exactly small.
