Lancia 0037

The 0037 was designed to compete in the dangerous Group B rallying of the 1980s. It competed against cars like the Audi quattro and the Renault 5 Turbo. The 0037 was the last rear-drive car to win the WRC, in 1983. It looks like the Lancia Monte Carlo but it shares very little with its road going cousin.

Power is from a supercharged 2.0-litre four cylinder engine, or later a 2.1-litre engine which eventually put out 325PS. Lancia produced a road-going version of the called called the Stradale, or ‘Street.’ This was necessary for homologation purposes – around 200 were made.
